Cookie Policy

LAST UPDATED · 2026-05-27

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use functionally-similar browser storage (localStorage) for some preferences. This policy covers both.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessaryAlways on

Sign-in session, security tokens, your cookie-consent choice itself, and your theme + units preferences. The Service cannot function without these, so they are not subject to consent.

AnalyticsOpt-in

PostHog product analytics — which features get used, where flows break. Off until you accept. Helps us improve the product; no advertising use.

MarketingOpt-in

Reserved for future ad-attribution / retargeting. Currently dormant — no marketing cookies are actually set yet. Listed for transparency.

Attribution (UTM)Set on ad clicks

When you arrive from one of our ads we store a first-touch utm tag so we can measure which campaign brought you. It carries no personal identifier and expires after 90 days.

3. Managing your choice

On your first visit a banner lets you Accept all, Reject (everything but strictly- necessary), or Customise each category. You can change your decision any time — clearing your browser cookies re-shows the banner, and we re-ask for consent every 12 months and whenever this policy materially changes.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in.

4. Third parties

Our analytics provider (PostHog) and infrastructure providers may set their own cookies when their features are active. See the sub-processor list in our Privacy Policy for who processes data on our behalf.
